Here at Luxe Isle, we are passionate about protecting and preserving our beautiful earth.
We recognise that while there is so much progress yet to be made that is out of our control, there are so many things we can do today to make a difference. Here are some of the ways Luxe Isle is working towards sustainability.
COMPOSTABLE MAILERS
We have switched from the harmful plastic mailers to a compostable alternative! Made from a combination of corn-based biopolymers, the Compostable Mailer composts in 6 months (180 days) and is certified for both home and commercial compost. Next time your Luxe Isle delivery arrives, make sure you place your mailer in the compost!
ECO-FRIENDLY TISSUE PAPER
We use an eco-friendly paper to wrap all of our orders in. This tissue paper is made with cellulose fibre (meaning that the active acid pulp is eliminated during processing) and it is also lignin- and sulfur-free, meaning that our ink won’t transfer from the tissue and the paper won’t leave behind any of these chemicals when decomposing! The paper has also been FCS certified (this means that the paper products that make up our printed tissue paper are sourced from a forest and supply chain that is managed responsibly and sustainably).
RECYCLED CARDS
In each of our package we include a thank you card that has been printed on recycled card!
ONE TREE PLANTED FOR EVERY DAY OF TRADE
As part of our Cleaning the Environment initiative, we will be making donations to plant one tree for each day of trade on an ongoing basis, via Landcare Phillip Island. Trees clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to a large part of Australia’s and the world’s natural wildlife.
